Kundalini Yoga Classes for Vitality and Stress Reduction
Taught by Julie K. Staples, Ph.D.
Kundalini yoga consists of a series of exercises called a “kriya” that usually incorporate breath with a motion. There are literally hundreds of kriyas in Kundalini yoga, each designed to have a specific effect. The kriya is followed by a deep relaxation and a meditation. The meditations in Kundalini Yoga often involve a focus on the breath or the use of a mantra. Sound plays an important role in directing our attention and the vibration itself has physiological effects.
